I just searched the manual (man lame) and I saw that I could convert wavs to mp3 by using
$ lame <filename>.wav <filename>.mp3
I tested it and it works

I'd try to reassemble the lame command line and do the same thing from the terminal. That may tell you something's not working correctly.

Try putting this in the "Encoder command-line" box and see if it works with grip:

I did what you said but now when I click rip+encode I can see the wav (when I'm in the folder the mp3 should come[homefolder]) and next it desapears and I cannot see any mp3

If your LAME is working, it must be something about your paths or your filesystem or something like that. Do it manually until you can figure out what the problem is.

Of course you can rip MP3s with Soundjuicer the profile just needs creating-
