Watermark on gimp?


How do I add a watermark on an image on gimp?

There are a lot of ways to do it, depending on what kind of watermark you want. Here's one simple approach:

1. Load the image you want to put a watermark on.
2. Create a new layer for the watermark (Layer->Add Layer)
3. Create the watermark in the new layer (or copy-paste it from another file)
4. Adjust the opacity of the watermark layer so that it is faint.

You could also try different settings for the "Mode" of the layer; difference, grain extract, soft light, or others might make good watermarks.
