Want to record from the internet

Using Debian Lenny
I want to record some clips from a website
http://www.curenaturalicancro.com/rs...r-apsley.html#
There are 5 clips.
I can record them through the sound card (I used arecord before), but
I need a program where I can pause the recording, because I want to
record the clips one after the other in one file.

I have Mplayer installed, if this works.

Thanks.

as they are just flash objects, I think you should be able to play the swf url in mplayer and just use -dumpaudio to save the audio to a file. Certainly no need to actually record audio from a soundcard.

I clicked on clip 1 and passed the url to mplayer and got the following
result:
Code:
joe@debian:~$ mplayer http://www.curenaturalicancro.com/audio11.html

I'm new to mplayer, just installed it and am trying to learn to use it.
I installed w32codecs.

I don't know how to dump the file. I'm assuming I would use -dumpstream and
-dumpfile. How would I convert it to ogg or mp3?

Do you know of any turorials that would be helpful in learning Mplayer?

Thanks.

Well, idk if this info will be useful or not, but I found the .swf file in the temporary files dir: /tmp/plugtmp-1/plugin-cnc-audio11.swf. Path might be slightly different for you. Only problem is, Idk what to do with a swf file. I can open it with firefox, but... That's it so far.
