Vypress Chat for Linux


K ... i downloaded vypress chat for linux ....
e-chat & some vychat archives ....

and ... i don't know how to start them , or install , or anything !!!

what libraries do i need and after i manage to install it ... where do i launch it ?

i downloaded all 3 chat programs ... i don't know how to open them or ....
to install ... i am totally confused how to make them work ...

Don´t know what you´ve downloaded, but the last time I used VyChat for Linux it came with source only, so I made ¨make¨ and ¨make install¨ and it worked. You probably have to compile it. I used it to comunicate with the Windows machines in my LAN.

in that case, cd into the directory created when you untarred and type
./configure
make
then su to root and
make install

In the directory you untarred to, is there a file called INSTALL? It should have complete instructions for you.

in vychat there is only the cnf & the executable
and in echat there isn't any install ...
