Unhappy vsftpd question

I encounter some difficulties in setting my FTP server.
The server is running Red Hat linux 8 with vsftpd.

The client is connect to server by a cross link line. THe client is running Windows XP. A network bridge is set on client for linux server to get access internet.

/etc/vsftpd.conf is using default(anonymous login disabled)
/etc/hosts.allow is set and all the addresses can access the server.

The server's IP address is while the client is default for home network)

But I can not ftp to the server from my client although the server can connects to itself.

Anyone can help me
