Vsftpd default folder? [Ubuntu]


does anyone know what the default ftp folder is for Vsftpd I'm trying to install FreeNX on my dedicated box through SSH I'm able to login with the ftp but I'm not sure on which directory I'm in all I see is /

I'm not sure, but here's a way to find out: upload a file with a name that's pretty certain to be unique [i.e. bang your head against the keyboard for a while, or pick a few random lines from a perl script or sendmail config file]. Use locate or find (through ssh) to see where the file is.

I'd think it's /home/youruser or /home/ftp. ISTR that being the case on debian.
