vsFTPd configuration not quite right

I think I have vsFTPd ALMOST right.

I want 3 user types:
1) A single Download user only stuck in own directory.
2) A single Super user.
3) Many Upload/download users stuck only in their own directories.

I tried to remake a server, and I can get FTP working, but everyone is a super user which ain't cool because an untrustable can change a download file into something unwanted.

Can you review what I have configured wrong?

My /etc/vsftpd/vsftpd.conf:

My user assignments:

Thank you,

Aren't the directory permissions too restrictive?
sudo chmod 440 /home/K5Y0/ftp
sudo chmod 440 /home/K5Y0/ftp/upload
As it stands now, the user K5Y0 won't be able to upload anything to /home/K5Y0/ftp/upload. And won't be able to browse it as well.

Wow, yeah you're right!

So it is working... And I learned stuff!

I only have one problem/question left then:

They can leave their home director and roam the entire ftp uploading/downloading stuff even system files.

How do I lock em in their home directory so they can't hit the .. and move up a directory node.

Thanks a ton!
Like no one is helping on other forums at all. Internet got bad since political hate bots rolled on it about 2yr ago.
