vsftpd-1.0.1 installation


Hi All

I have downloaded a file called vsftpd-1.0.1.tar.gz in order to install vsftpd on my slax PC. I have trouble installing the software. Can someone please post some instructions to help me? I am this far.

gunzip vsftpd-1.0.1.tar.gz - done successfully
tar xpf vsftpd-1.0.1.tar - done successfully
Instructions said I should then type
make
su
make install. But is doesn't work
