HI...

I got myself in a pickle looking on the web for how to restrict access for FTP users. Some people say chroot users, then something about list of users that cannot use ftp, then one file said about chroot-users = yes.. but then add a vsftpd.chroot.users with accepted users, but I wasnt sure where to put that file

anyway heres where I am

Linux Red Hat RE 3

VSFTPD which appears to be located in /etc/vsftpd/

in the .etc directory I have
vsftpd.ftpusers and vsftpd.user_list (whatever the difference is between them I havent a clue)

Anyway, so, I have a user on this Linux machine called say
Bob - and I want Bob to FTP to this machine into his Home Directory - which is set in Users I believe. I am happy for Bob to make some more directories for himself there, but dont want him escaping out into other place.

So, in like really simple step my step terms can you tell me
a) how to modify my vsftpd.conf file
b) if I should create a chroot file and put it where? (carefull now) and what is should look like?
