I'm trying to get vsFTP working as my ftp program. I want to know how to make it so that all local users who log in through FTP will be at the same directory and not their home directory. I thought I did it when I put in LOCAL_ROOT=/"the directory I want", however it still put them in their home directory. I enabled CHROOT for local users. Would that mess it up? This is the first time I have touched a Linux FTP program so forgive me. Thanks...

It details very clearly setting up a null account for FTP only users and is well worth considering, it may help you solve your problem.
