VQADMIN Access Problems
 

I installed qmail and most of the associated programs from qmailrocks, but I am having some problems with vqadmin. After a successful install, following the instructions to the letter, all I receive when trying to access the vqadmin cgi is a 403 forbidden page.

I have checked all the file permissions, which all seem fine. I tried "chown -R apache *" in the vqadmin directory, no luck.

I also tried the instructions that came with the vqadmin package, rather than the qmailrocks instructions, but that didn't work either.

EDIT: Just noticed qmailadmin has the exact same problem. Everything else (qmail-smtpd, etc.) works fine though.

Any ideas?

(Trying this on Redhat 9)

There is no apache user. Change the owner to nobody/root.

You should try and access http://127.0.0.1/cgi-bin/vqadmin/vqadmin.cgi

Check that the auth dir in .htaccess goes to /var/qmail/

Did you get error 500? I have got that error. I am going to post it but in case you know?
