I use rdesktop, or "Terminal Server Client" to connect with my company's server. I'm running debian/ubuntu (gnome)as well as opensuse.

Sorry I'm thinking more along the lines of secure remote so I can tunnel to the network, I would class rdesktop as rdp.

Thanks, trscookie.

Try this page: http://www.zeroshell.net/eng/openvpn-client/

If your company uses Microsoft's PPTP protocol, use this: http://pptpclient.sourceforge.net/

If your company uses IPSEC, this should help: http://www.ipsec-howto.org/

And if your company is running Cisco, you want to ask the network administrator for the Cisco software...

And after your admin gives you CiscoVPN client, you'll most probably have to patch it...

vpnc will work with cisco and kvpnc will work with cisco ipsec vpns and with openvpn too.

I highly recommend vpnc. I was having trouble connecting to the cisco network at school but got it all fixed thanks to LQ. Here is the thread.

I tried vpnc some time ago, and it wouldn't connect with telco's network...

Seems to me that I should try it again :)
