Voice recognition softwere

I am thinking (very seriously) about putting my small form factor redhat machine permanently in my car as a portable multimedia system.

If i do this, I will definatly want to be able to control some functions with voice recognition software. Does any descent voice command program exist for linux, and if so, where can it be found?

A good starting point for searches is
always the Linux Documentation Project... ,
and it is for this case, too :)

P.S.: Unless you're using a HIGH class
limo on perfectly smooth roads I wouldn't
worry too much about speech-control in the
car, though, in particular if you have loud
music going (multimedia system?) :}
