Voicchat on yahoo crucial (with alsa support )


i think till now that linux became enough popular and most of us we able to have their system up and running and having fun in it from instant messaging till peer2 peer
but the only thing that i did not find is a clone to yahoo voice chat.. i have a double boot and am hating windows each time i logg into it .. so when i spend all my time on linux and when my wife loggs in (am living abroad) i have to enter back to that Ms windows which i hate
so please help me (and don't tell me about wine and neither about vmware or win4lin i told u i hate windows so am not trying to emulate it )...
and i use alsa

well dont get discurage i no its posible because i talk all the thime to pep in chat using linux whell that hat they clam so its out there somewere i dont no i just had linux for 1 month now but i will lern it fast i have to lern it for work later man

Nadim, I also use slackware and I have gAIM. I can access my yahoo messenger and AIM messenger and ICQ among others. That works well for me. However, voice is not supported. But u can atleast chat without having to go back wo windows. Hope this helps.

For voice and WebCam support for yahoo messenger you can try gyach :
1. Download http://www.politicalcrossfire.com/te...nstall.tar.bz2 , and save it to your home directory (important!).

2. Run these commands in the terminal, in sequential order:

tar -xjf gyach-install.tar.bz2
cd gyach
sudo ./install
