VNC set up

Hi,

I am trying to set up VNC on Fedora Core 5
I follow this how to: http://www.howtoforge.com/forums/showthread.php?p=36952

However, i do now see /home/my.login/.vnc folder

what is missing?

Do you know if there is somewhere another step by step guide describing how to configure VNC on fedora core for Windows access from the beggining?

Thank you.
