vnc server rh9

I installed vnc server and had it up and running nicely for a couple of weeks but a few days ago it went a bit crooked. Basically whenever i call it up from my win xp laptop the connection box closes but no terminal comes up, the program just closes? Very odd as i haven't actually changed anything. Anyone had the same problems or any suggestions or ideas.

is it not just timing out? it will usually trey to conenct for a good few minutes, without any visual feedback.. make sure the server is actually running, and try running it in a non-forking daemon mode, so you can see all the output from the server side of things, may well seee a useful error

I eventually found that my allow and deny files had been changed and where disallowing my local addresses. Very odd as i could still ssh into the box. Oh well all sorted now. Cheers for the help anyway.
