VNC screwed up my xfce X window
Hello all,
I recently installed a VNC server on my Gentoo Linux system. The problem I am having is this: Now when I got to launch X Windows via 'startx or startxfce' commands it does this.. "/usr/bin/startxfce: Starting X server waiting for X server to begin accepting connectiosn." How do I change it back so that when I want to get to X windows like xfce it runs that instead of this VNC server stuff???? Right now I can not get into X windows unless I manually run ./XFree86 or something then its just the "X". I cant get xfce to run manually because then it tells me this. " Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display:" I just want to get back into X windows! Anyone have any idea or know how to fix? thanks, Sam |
what version of Xfce are you trying to run?
