VNC Login issue with Fedora 4

Thanks to the many posts in this forum I got VNC up and running on my RH Fedora 4 box.

The issue I am having is the following:
My first login/session from my XP machine to my RH machines works fine. I than choose Desktop / Log Out to logout of my VNC session. When I try to connect later, I don't get prompted with a login screen, just a black screen with the default blue Fedora Core logo in the bottom right corner of the screen.

If I putty into the server and restart the vncserver, than I can log in again until I do a Log Out. If I just close the VNC client without doing a logout w/in RH, than I can re-connect just fine.

Don't know if this is related, but I get the following error message at login and logout:
No volume control elements and/or devices found.

I'm using the Realvnc 4.1.1 client on my XP machine.

Thanks

Sound like an issue with your vnc client. X forwarding with ssh is my prefered method, but you'd need an X emulator like Cygwin for Linux to Windows (much easier Linux to Linux IMHO.)
