VNC Drag and Drop Problem

Just started playing with VNC now that the server has moved another 10 feet away from my desk. Anyway, everything was going well, I figured out how to use gnome and such on my own, but thats when this problem emerged. When I go to drag something like an icon on the desktop, it seems that gnome reloads itself, and then nautilus(sp? the file browser for Fedora 5) pops up. I'd post a screenshot but I doubt that'd do much good. Anyway, any help would be apreciated.

Just sounds like typical VNC speed/redraw. If I may, when you're tired of VNC... try - freeNX...It's much better than VNC

much more secure (uses key exchange across SSH)
much faster (I mean a alot!)
more feature support (like audio etc)
easy to install.

I just came across it by chance a while back. I can't say enough good things about it ..and I can't believe all the time I spent manually tunneling VNC though SSH.
cheers
