VNC and Acidrip?

Hello

I've compiled mplayer with gui and acidrip successfull with all schischi-wischi (lsdvd....). I want to install that on a computer I'm always using by remote. Tightvnc-server is installed and so I want to get acidrip run on that rh9-machine.

Mplayer functions well with videos... but when I'm entering gmplayer, this message appears:
Code:
Gdk-ERROR **: unable to find a usable depth
aborting...
When I'm entering "acidrip" the following message appears:
Code:
Gdk-ERROR **: unable to find a usable depth at /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.0/AcidRip/interface.pm line 3.
Compilation failed in require at /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.0/AcidRip/acidrip.pm line 7.
BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.0/AcidRip/acidrip.pm line 7.
Compilation failed in require at /usr/bin/acidrip line 14.
BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /usr/bin/acidrip line 14
...the vnc-server is running on Display 0, so where can I configure that? Or what failed during compilation, did I forget any enhancements?
Thanks for all advises.

well this isn't a problem from acidrip, but gtk2-perl underneath it. can you happily run other gtk2 based programs under VNC? try changing the color depth you are using on VNC, 8, 15, 16 bits all to be tried...
