VMware running windows as a window.

Hi, my windows is well running like windows after having it a while so its time for a gut and reinstall, i was wondering about using it in linux, e.g. install linux then just open windows as a window in linux, is there any decrease in the power of windows ?? and all other info need before thinking about doin this.

I all most forgot its windows xp if that affects anything.

VMware is a great program...using it i installed MS Streets and Trips 2004 and Office 2003....

it wont run anything that needs video accelleration....but it is great for some stuff....it is a great product....now if only i could get my hands on the cash to buy it before my eval runs out....
