VMware problem!!

I tried to install Slackware 10 on vmware 5 beta in order to get familiar with
installation process but I have problem with vmware because of this message:

Quote:

No bootable CD, floppy or hard disk was detected.
To install an operating system, insert a bootable CD or floppy and restart the virtual machine by clicking the Reset button.
The Slackware bootable Cd1 is working, I tried it.
I also made bootable floppy but same thing happens.
VMware itself didn't gave me any troubles installing it.

I'm using MDK10 with 2.6 kernel, one CD-burner TEAC CD-W540 and one DVD-burner NEC ND3500.

Can anyone help me please?

VMware is just like a normal computer, so you have to make sure the boot devices are in the correct order for an OS to be installed. Go into VMware's BIOS and set a boot device. Make sure both the hard drive (image) and CD-ROM is set as master. Also make sure the CD-ROM or the floppy is before the hard drive in the boot config. You could have just used the Slackware images for the CD-ROM. It will speed up installing Slackware.

The beta version of VMware is ok but do not do any cpu intense jobs. Though VMware makes stable software even for their beta versions, so you should not have a lot of problems.

I know that and I did change the values in BIOS. I used vmware before.
However I also changed the values for Primary and Secondary Master, neither that helped.
