VMware on rh9, trying to use windows partition...

I installed a rh9 distro on my laptop for a dual boot with WinXP home. I downloaded and installed VMware workstation onto RH9 and now I want to see if I can use VMware to see my Windows partition (its mounted in /mnt/Windows from /dev/hda1) so that I can run all of my normal windows apps from inside linux. Is this possible? Thanks!

VMware works by emulating an entire PC on top of the current OS (it even emulates a BIOS). Because of this, Windows running inside VMWare sees only what Linux sees. RedHat hasn't included support for viewing an NTFS partition (XP's file system), but you can install a kernel module available from ntfs.sourceforge.net. This should allow you to view, but not write to, your Windows XP NTFS partition.

my windows partition is formatted with fat32, that's the reason I can access my media files from linux, I just want to know if I can run windows through any kind of special software within linux
