Angry vmware on RH)

Hi everyone,
I'm looking for help!!! I'm trying to install VMware on a RH9 but when it ask me where it can find the C header files and I write /usr/src7/linuz-2.4/include, it says that my kernel is "... dual processor" or something like that, but I don't have a multiprocessor. And so!? What can I do?

I'm missing some information here.

Do you have a multiple CPU's ? Or a main-board with hyper-threading (which is virtually the same thing).

If not, boot with the correct kernel (the one without smp = symmetric multi processor).

It yes, you should play a bit with make menuconfig. It generates a config-file in /usr/src/linux-2.4, possibly you'll need ls -a. After wards copy a file from /usr/src/linux-2.4/configs over the .config suitable for your system. I'm not 100% sure about this paragraph because I haven't tried it now. It's just based on some experience from the past.

Hope it helps.
