VMWARE config problem

I am getting this error when trying to configure vmware...

What is the location of the directory of C header files that match your running
kernel? [/usr/src/linux/include]

The directory of kernel headers (version 2.6.9) does not match your running
kernel (version 2.6.9-x1). Even if the module were to compile successfully, it
would not load into the running kernel.

I have the source in /usr/src/linux/

I am running Xandros 3 delux

Does anyone know how to get around this problem?

Thats the only source i can get my hands on, I got it from Xandros Network.
If its not the same can someone tell me where to get the right one?

Thanks in advance!

Check with vmware's documentation or this site. There are files you can edit since VMWare currently only tests against the 2.4.x kernel series..
