vmware and libdbus error

I installed the latest vmware (6.0.3) and it compiled its modules just fine. I am running Slackware-current with kernel 2.6.19.2 and followed the notes on how to upgrade to current.

upon issuing "vmware" into konsole, I get the following error:

/usr/lib/vmware/bin/vmware: symbol lookup error: /usr/X11R6/lib/libdbus-glib-1.so.2: undefined symbol: dbus_threads_init_default

I think I have all the correct dbus, glib, and dbus-glib packages installed. I cannot find a thread with a similar problem, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
