Angry vmware...ahhhhh!!!!

Hello world,

i've installed vmware on RH9 and after on Suse 8.2 and every times i've tried to start a virtual machine, it says that seems like another virtual machine is running.... bla, bla, bla. Press OK to continue, but when i press OK nothing happens and i'm again at the start point: create a new virtual machine or edit an existing virtual machine.

What can i do to fix this problem?

What devices do you have listed in the virtual machine. Are you using a raw partition. You may need to un-mount the partition to be used for a raw partition in VMWARE and make sure supermount is not listed in the fstab for that partition. How much memory is given to VMWARE. The default is 320 megabytes. Run VMWARE as su and change the memory settings if this setting is too high.

If you have USB, serial, or parallel listed for the virtual machine, you need to remove modules. Then you can start the virtual machine. Usually VMWARE should start without these devices with no problems.
