VLC with interface on monitor and video playback on TV not working after upgrade
 

I have a flat-screen tv connected to my computer via HDMI. Monitor and tv are configured as separate X-screens. I want to have the VLC interface on my monitor, but the video playing on the tv.
I start vlc with the following command:
vlc --xvideo-display :0.1 --fullscreen --no-embedded-video --extraintf http "$@"
After an upgrade of VLC to 1.1.11 this no longer works and i get the following error:
vlc: unknown option or missing mandatory argument `--xvideo-display'
I found an option to set X11 display under "Preferences - Video", but doing this also puts the interface on the tv, which i don't want.
Any suggestions how to solve this problem? Last resort would be to revert back to the older version (think it was 1.0.6 or something)...
