now every repo has a mirror
open terminal give "zypper ls" and write somewhere the mirror name which is the alias name
then try
sudo zypper mr -r "mirror alias" without quotes in every mirror you took from zypper ls

Yes i have done that and hence autorefresh have been enabled for vlc.

But still installation is stuck...the same timeout...

hi i install vlc on fedora 12 everything was ok i installed completely but when i run vlc its window come and suddenly goes i dont know what's happening ???

vlc is the only url repo I have given, the other two repos are

one a DVD and another a local folder in the system...Those two has no problem...the problem is only with the url....

The original OpenSuse 11.1 repo for vlc is http://download.videolan.org/pub/vlc/SuSE/11.1
Check this official link for more information and tell us news when you have http://en.opensuse.org/Additional_package_repositories

When timeout exceed appears usually there are two conditions. 1st the mirror is unavailabe,broken or temporally down for service 2nd There is a problem with internet communication
