I don't know.
You might find that, if your distro is one of those listed here, the problem is resolved. Try. http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ I don't know because the term "yumex" is not very informative. The next time you post you may profit by reading this. http://www.linuxquestions.org/linux/...Ask_a_Question |
Assuming that the repo that built your version of VLC put them in, then yes. VLC tends to build in the codecs as opposed to most of the other players that use external modules for codec.

I can't get VLC to run in Linux Mandriva KDE. I installed from RPMdrake tried several packages ( .9.3/ 9.8 ectt.)
I get the same Segmentation Fault. I do not know why the latest packages for VLC do NOT work with Mandriva 2009 KDE4 I have tried al types of install I urpmi'd from shell, installed from MCC same segmentation fault. VLC installed and runs fine in my Windows partition. Something with the pacakaging for my Linux distro.. |

KDE4.x = many things are currently broken (it is still "under development") Your options: - Go back to using KDE 3.x.y (little "eye candy") - Use Gnome (ditto) - File bug reports to kde.org - Put up with it :( |
