vlc error


i got this error when i tried to ./configure the vlc source
configure: error: Missing header file ffmpeg/avcodec.h.

You apparently don't have ffmpeg installed.

VLC has tons of build dependencies, which makes building it from source painful. If you can get a prebuilt binary, I suggest you do so.
