"minnesegmentsfeil" means something like a-part-of-the-memory-failed. is this a hardware problem!?

edit: another one:
Code:

[00001039] freetype private error: failed to load font file /usr/share/fonts/truetype/freefont/FreeSerifBold.ttf
what does a .ttf-file have to do with a videoplayer!? i use kaffeine now instead...

An innocent advice from my end, please left using vlc and use mplayer instead. The same advice I also got a couple of months ago in such a forum, and I am really happy with mplayer.

If the advice do not suit you, please ignore this post.

thank you for your advice! :) but what's wrong with vlc? can mplayer open folders? i have a dvd full with videos from a badminton-tournament, i'd very much like just to watch them in a row.
