same problem with vlc after upgrade
wow, such a old thread without anyone replying.
I have the same problem with vlc. Despite changing the video output to x11 or opengl upon recommendations of some internet resource, it still went without showing any image.
It was working happily before I upgrade from lenny to testing. However I did the same on my thinkpad R400, the vlc there still managed to work even though it now shows a blue tinge to every movie it plays.
Hope someone who has solved such problem can give us a hand here. Thanks.
