friends...

i am newbie..i am using fedora10.....

can anyone help me out in installing vlc offline...like i installed real player offline by downloading its rpm..but it couldnt play most of the formats except mp3...infact it would be helpful if some one can tell me from where i can download the player....i tried installing so many plugins like gstreamer-mp3 and others.. but nothing is working... all players say that i need additional plugins but nothing is working......it would be helpful even if some one could say what is actually i am lacking..........
