Virusscanner !?

Here's the thing i'm wondering about:

I got myself a ftpserver working on a pentium I 200 mmx with 512 MB SDRAM with slackware 9

People can upload files to my machine i wonder if it isn't necesarry to get myself a virusscanner running on it

if it is, i'm pretty new to linux can you gimme some info what to do and maybe even a link for a package

The thing you need to keep in mind concerning linux and an antivirus scanner is that your chances of being affected by a virus are small, but your chances of passing it on are quite good, especially when you are allowing uploads. Check out f-prot There's not many antivirus scanners for linux, but I have used them for several months and they update regularly (2-3x/week)
