virus scanners for linux?
This is one of those stoopid questions... I finally got my DSL connection ready and am currently connected to the web through it on RHL9, running the default Mozilla (1.4.2) as my browser.
Anyhow, the question is, coming from windows world, I'm paranoid about viruses. I have iptables running, and the settings are somewhat paranoid ("everything" is forbidden) with that, but I don't have a virus scanner running.
Is one necessary for Linux, seeing that 99% of viruses are for Win systems? I follow SecurityFocus for known vulnerabilities and use up2date plus some discretionary other updates. I don't run any software or scripts unless I know the source to be a legitimate provider. So do I need to worry?
