Virtualbox

I have in the past used an XP VM in virtualbox on various distro's without issue. I have been trying to install XP again for about 10 days now and am getting the same problem everytime, the install get to between 19 and 13 minutes remaining then hangs. Can anyone offer any tips?

FYI I am on Kubuntu Intrepid with Virtualbox 2.2.4-47978, My host is an AMD64 with 1.5gb ram, 128mb video, my guest is allocated 512 ram and 64 video.

how much space have you allocate on virtual disk? have you verified it is enough?

It's a 20GB dynamic, it is currently showing 4.19GB actual - could the problem be due to it being dynamic?

have you verified also if you have space on physic disk? try to create a static disk.

I've got around 500GB free! I tried a fixed 10GB earlier, same problem. I think this could be my PC telling me something about the spawn of Gates!!
