You want to put files for printing in a directory and have them automatically printed?

I think he wants CUPS to generate PDFs and drop them
in a given directory, even for network printing...

Hard to comprehend, though.

Cheers,
Tink

kc0hwa explained in this post that he has dysgraphia so, try as he might, he cannot use proper English!

It's kind of fun trying to interpret his writing though and respect to him (Hi kc0hwa ) for posting here.

@kc0hwa: it might help if you explained about the dysgraphia in your signature. "My LQ", "Settings and Options", "Edit Signature".

Back to the question ... I don't use CUPS so can't answer the question but may be able to clarify the question. Do you want to set up a CUPS "printer" that does not print but instead converts any file "printed" to a .pdf or .fdf file and puts it in a directory? And do you want this "printer" to be shared for other computers on the network to use?

BTW, is it only writing you have difficulty with? How is your reading?

Thanks for that. It made me laugh out loud! "Hey! Writing God! Some instructor needs you!"

Now the question is clear let's hope some CUPS expert comes by to answer it.
