Virtual PC?


I need to run some linux equivalant of VPC where I an running an actual win install in a virtual session. Can I do this with VMware?? Dual booting is not an option in my situation. Thank you for any replies!

Yeah, vmware is this sort of thing. You might also want to check out parallels and qemu.

VMware is most easy to install and use. Also, VMware Server is free (as in beer, not as in speech).
I had much more trouble getting qemu to work.

Xen is great (and much faster than VMware), but according to the FAQ currently does not support Windows guests if you have no hardware virtualiziation capabilities.
Only for the commercial version of Xen Windows support is advertised.

For Xen you need to use special kernel which "knows" about Xen.
