Hi all of you out there,
I installed the Virtual Machine Manager using this guide:
https://community.linuxmint.com/tutorial/view/1727
I then created a virtual hard drive:
Code:
qemu-img create -f raw /home/janv/qemu/ubuntu.img 80G
Formatting '/home/janv/qemu/ubuntu.img', fmt=raw size=85899345920
When I try to create a new virtual machine I get the following error:
Code:
Unable to complete install: 'Failed to find user record for uid '64055''
I use Linux Mint 18.2 Sonya on a 64-bit HP EliteBook which has an i5 with virtualization support
More trouble . . .
When I start the virtual machine manager I get:
Code:
Unable to connect to libvirt.
Verify that:
- The 'libvirt-bin' package is installed
- The 'libvirtd' daemon has been started
- You are member of the 'libvirtd' group
Details:

Libvirt URI is: qemu:///system

Can anybody help?
Thanks in advance.]
