Virtual Machine kernel stack fault in kernel mode

Hello all,

I would like to being by saying I am running Red Hat distro version 9 and trying to get VMware workstation 4 working on it. I have two hard drives and one contains Windows XP (for school) and the other contains Red Hat. I am running Red Hat as the host and Win XP as the guest OS. I am trying to use the existing install of XP to be the guest because I dont want to have two installs of XP. So I selected the already installed OS, use partition option. I did have a problem with the GRUB bootloader not completing but then I make a boot partition and it gets to grub now instead of freezing. The first problem is that I cannot see the grub menu at all, but I know where the winXP option is so I select that and I get this.... "Virtual Machine kernel stack fault in kernel mode. On a real computer this would amount to a reset of the processor. It can be caused by incorrect configuration of the Virtual Machine, a bug in the OS, or a problem in the VMware software. Press ok to reboot or cancel to quit" I was wondering if anyone has heard of this pop up error and if so how did you fix it. Thank you so much, all of you have been very helpful so far.
