virtual host redirects with mod_rewrite

Hi to all

I have a virtual host (called intranet.mycomp.com) and I need it to access another server inside the network with a private ip (lets say 192.168.1.2)
The main apache server has both real and internal IP. So how do I set this up like wen somebody outside the company network accessing http://intranet.mycomp.com the main apache server will serve him the page located on the http://192.168.1.2 .

i have read the apache documentation, but i have't understand much from it... the mod_rewrite is very complex.

Thx in advance

P.S.
Forgot to say apache is version 1.3.33
