virtual box gives error

This is the error message i get. how can i fix it.
'/etc/init.d/vboxdrv' doesn't exist
(sabayon3.5, virtualbox 1.6.4)

It does, you need to run it as root.

i can assure you it doesn't

Try this as root:

modprobe vboxdrv
If didnt work, try with a newer version of virtualbox, the latest version is 2.1.2!

Then it's maybe in /etc/rc.d/rc.vboxdrv, like in Slackware.

Fixed it

Downloaded and installed the nweewst version from the website,
executed the command

had to reboot into a different kernel,

executed the command again

it worked
