virtual box 2.1 problem on fedora 10

Failed to create the VirtualBox COM object.
The application will now terminate.

Could not load the settings file '/home/bharadwaj/.VirtualBox/VirtualBox.xml'.
Element '{}SystemProperties', attribute 'defaultHardDiskFolder': [facet 'pattern'] The value '' is not accepted by the pattern '.+'.
Element '{}SystemProperties', attribute 'defaultHardDiskFolder': '' is not a valid value of the atomic type '{}TLocalFile'.

Look at your settings file '/home/bharadwaj/.VirtualBox/VirtualBox.xml'.
The messages you posted suggest you have empty string ('') as you 'defaultHardDiskFolder'.
