Vino Server

All,

I have a server that is running vino. I have ran the vino-preferences and set that part up. I cannot figure out how to start vino or have it start up at boot. Can someone point me in the right direction? Help is much appreciated.

Talking Some info (gdm)

That makes two of us.
I'm trying to do the same and I only found this which didn't work for me because I use Debian Squeeze which has GDM3.
Maybe you have some luck with it.

The server that it is working on has this line when I grep for vino.

Quote:
/usr/libexec/vino-server --oaf-activate-iid=OAFIID:GNOME_RemoteDesktopServer --oaf-ior-fd=24
I have tried to start the vino server like this on the other server but when I connect all I get is a gray screen with nothing on it.

Ok got it. When I edited the preferences for vino (vino-preferences) I did it as the root user and not the user that was actually logged in to the desktop. Once I edited the preferences for vino under the logged in user poof it worked.

Small, minor over look LOL.

Now on both servers when I grep for vino I get this:

Quote:
/usr/libexec/vino-server --oaf-activate-iid=OAFIID:GNOME_RemoteDesktopServer --oaf-ior-fd=37
