dude you can do a lot of things with vim.
All u want is to have the C functions to show up colored !!!
In that case I suggest that you see the file .../syntax/c.vim ( In my case this is located in /usr/share/vim/current/syntax/c.vim ). This is the file where all the syntax coloring , hilighting etc is defined for C. You will need to add your function names as keywords here.
