Unhappy Vim: Starting line numbers from 0

hi everyone,

Ive been using vim to write hex files and assembly code, when i type ":set number" in Vim, it shows line numbers starting from 1 for the 1st line. But what id like is that the 1st line should be labelled '0', i.e, the line numbers should start from 0. Is there a way of doing this in Vim?

thanks in anticipation,
