Vim in KDE

I read in the Kdevelop documentation that you could use VIM as your editor in kdevelop. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find any documentation about the vim KPart. Does anyone know how to do this?

Do you have kvim installed? If so, there may be some documentation installed in /usr/share/doc/packages/kvim.

I had kvim installed (It didn't work), but according to to this, vimpart became part of the kdeextragear module (which seems to not exist anymore).

If it helps, I believe that knoppix 4 has vimpart installed.

Your link led to another link that explains that a vim kpart would not be possible and they abandoned the attempt.

There may be a way of using gvim instead with version >=6.

Oops, should have read that.
But does anyone know if something like this exists? And Where?
