Angry vim dependency problem libperl.so error loading

Hai,
I am using fc3. I removed perl 5.8.5 and installed its tar again. But when i opened vi it says that

vim: error while loading shared libraries: libperl.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
can any suggest any solution for that. I cannt use vi for since two week time.

hi there,

did you run
Code:
ldconfig
after the new perl installation?
if it is does not work, maybe it is necessary to reinstall vim.
