vigor 11 problem red hat

ok.

after you guys have stopped laughing me out for using red hat 9. i want to ask a question.

Everytime after i login to red hat i get this error message:

"No internet adress could be found for vigor11. Gnome can therefore not function properly. The problem could be solved by adding vigor11 to the /etc/hosts file."

Now i dont know anything about linux. so if you guys could help me out with the problem PLEASE!.
